GOLDEN TROUT TRAIL
Requirements:
6-9 days, approximately 52 miles from Quaking Aspen down to Kern
river and then up Golden Trout Creek to Little Whitney Meadows. On
to Tunnell Meadows to Big Whitney Meadows and out over
Cottonwood Pass to Road Head. This trip may be started from either
point.
1. Meet and comply with all General Requirements.
2. Outing Leader or another 21 year old adult going on trip must have
completed the Basic Backpack Awareness Course.
3. Each participant, including adults, must complete a minimum of
three (3) conditioning overnight backpacking trips, including one at
or near the altitude of the proposed
trip, within three months prior
to departing on the trek.
4. Outing Leader/Unit submit an itinerary showing hike plan, roster,
Pack list and menu, to your Council's High Adventure Team for
approval.
